Hello NCCERT
I noted your good work on your website and wanted to let your members know about an ongoing course that could benefit your volunteers. I run the Wilderness medicine Field course. It is a 3 day course to teach emergency medicine in the wilderness from the aspect of a race/expedition doctor, an adventure racer, a medic, a search and rescue volunteer, or just an interested outdoors person.
Doctors taking the course receive 30 cme credits and I also offer a Wilderness First Responder Certification. The cost is $120 for the weekend. The next course is July 25-27 and there will be a weekday course in August 12-14th. The course is in Maryland at various outdoor sites surrounding the metro area. Participants may drive in, or stay locally or camp. Let me know if your group is interested in taking the course. If you have at 15 participants, I can set up a course specific to your group. My course is pro dog and dogs and handlers are highly encouraged to enroll.
Please see all the details on my website at www.wildmedmd.com
Look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Ellen L. Smith, MD
