JULY 4th PARADE Oakboro, NC

NC CERT members were proud to display seven of their local search dogs along with their handlers in the 51st annual 4th of July parade this Saturday, hosted by the Oakboro Fire and Rescue organization, the celebration includes five days of activities, food, amusement rides, talent show, a 5-kilometer run, parade, fireworks and more. Following the parade, the team conducted a training session in Stanly County and enjoyed great food and fellowship at a cookout at a local member's residence.

In a continued commitment to the community, NC CERT has a Memorandum of Understanding with the Stanly County Sheriff Department, to provide trained and certified responders for Project Lifesaver, a project that helps provide a rapid response to save lives and reduce the potential for serious injury for adults and children who wonder due to Alzheimer’s, Autism, Down Syndrome, dementia and other related disorders.

NC CERT is a statewide search organization with teams located in Stanly, Wake, Johnson and Beaufort Counties. The team is an all-volunteer, non-profit search organization dedicated to serving the local communities where members live, the State of North Carolina and surrounding states.
