NCCERT was able to participate in some excellent helicopter training this year thanks to one of our own team members. NCCERT and the NC State Forest Service District 6 conducted an all day helo training session in April 2005.
Part of this session included classroom, helicopter demonstrations and actual flying for the dogs. All of the NCCERT K9's were able to catch a ride in the helo for practice, getting used to flying and showing the handlers how to strap the dog into the helicopter.
