Congratulations Melisa!!!
Please join me in welcoming Melisa Semenov as our newest licensed Amateur Radio Operator! Melisa took the test today, and might have passed with flying colors, but we'll never REALLY know. Either way, she passed, and NCCERT is proud of her for doing so.
As an important part of Search and Rescue, Amateur Radio operators can be instrumental on searches and incidents both large and small. NC CERT requires all of our members to have this license in order to be operational for that very reason. Good job Melisa!! Hurry up and get your callsign.

Yeah......or Matlock wouldn't be a ham.
This from a mere tech class geek. Dr. Matlock for those who don't know, is an Extra Class license holder. Come to think of it, it must be real easy to get one of those, too, or he wouldn't be an X-class.
