NCCERT Participates in Apex Hurricane Awareness Day

NCCERT Participates in Hurricane Awareness Day

APEX NC -- With such a rapid start to the hurricane season this year, Hurricane Awareness Day couldn't come at a better time. Although most residents know what to do in a hurricane, many don't, especially new residents.

With the cooperation of the Town of Apex, Apex Fire Dept., Apex Police Dept., Apex EMS and other various agencies and businesses, the first Hurricane Awareness Day was held at the Apex Town Hall.

NCCERT was there, providing tours of our equipment including our communications truck, generator and boat trailer, and other various items. In addition, NCCERT also manned a booth, passing out flyers, hurricane tracking charts and other various items related to hurricane preparedness.

NCCERT would like to thank the Town of Apex, NC for inviting us to this event. Photos of this event are now available in the gallery!
