NC CERT canine handlers from across the state completed the American Red Cross Canine First Aid Class at the Union County Chapter building in Monroe, NC this weekend.

The Weddington/Monroe Animal Hospital, Dr. K. Armstrong and her staff, sponsored and presented the class. It provided, in-depth first aid information on how to care for a dog that has been injured at home or in the field during a search and rescue mission.

Participation in this class by NC CERT members was made possible by a grant from the American Kennel Club.
