This seminar will offer expert training from imprinting a K9 beginner through advance level. The 3-day program will help build a solid foundation for handlers and their K9’s. Offering tools to become a reliable and certified resource for their respected agency.
Training Groups
- Beginner – Starting HRD training.
- Basic – Learning search patterns, scent theory, TFR, etc.
- Intermediate – search and scent problems
- Advance – complex search and scent problems.

American Working Dog Association (ADWA), Evaluator Mike Kennedy will be on site to offer:
Three non-disaster operational HRD land certifications based on FEMA resource typing requirements which the titles reflect.
- HRD Land Type IV. 5-15 grams of source material, four wilderness stations comprised of surface, buried, elevated, and negative stations of approximately one-acre size, and with a 20-minute time limit per station.
- HRD Land Type III. Same as Type IV but with an added vehicle station consisting of three vehicles and a 10-minute time limit.
- HRD Land Type-Other. Same as Type IV but the source material is 16 grams or more (I usually use 45 grams).
- Evaluation will be available on all three days of the seminar.
NOTE: Handlers are responsible for all certification fees and will need to pay for those separately from the seminar fee directly to the certifying agency.
Registration Fee:
Cost: $325.00 Per Team (Handler and Canine)
Cost: $150.00 per extra K9
$150.00 per observer (no K9)
Includes: Lunch, Friday through Sunday
Meals:
As part of the seminar fee, a box type lunch (drinks NOT included) will be provided for each attendee Friday – Sunday. If you have a special dietary need, it will be your responsibility to provide your own lunch meals while attending the seminar. There is no credit provided if you choose not to take the provided lunch. While limited supplies of water will be available, each attendee should plan on bringing their own to meet their and their K9s needs.
Deposit: Deposit of $150.00 MUST be included with your registration form.
This will be non-refundable except under extenuating circumstances
