NC K9 Emergency Response Team maintains a highly specialized “Water Search and Recovery” unit for the recovery of a lost person in water. This unit consists of Highly trained K9s, Sonar operators, boat operators and Public Safety Divers. The unit is trained in the use of multiple types of sonar technology to locate underwater targets and locate unsafe and dangerous areas that our divers need to avoid for their safety.
The use of trained K9s, sonar, sonar operators, boat operators and public safety divers, all this technology together greatly speeds up the recovery.
